In announcing that he conceded defeat to Gallrein, Massie also made a jab at his opponent over the millions of dollars poured in to the race by pro-Israel groups to try to defeat the incumbent.

Meta settles major social media addiction lawsuit with school district

The lawsuit ​sought more than $60m to cover the costs of mental health needs for students in the district and to pay for a 15-year program to improve the issue. Lawyers ⁠also ​sought a court order requiring the ​social media companies to change the way their platforms worked to have fewer addictive features. .

Meta’s legal woes are far from over. Attorneys for the school districts said in a statement on Thursday that “our focus remains on pursuing justice for the remaining 1,200 school districts who have filed cases”…

Kentucky Legislature cuts Democratic governor out of picking potential McConnell replacement - POLITICO

The change is the latest Republican-led maneuver to the state's vacancy law. Prior to the current system, the governor was able to appoint a temporary replacement until a special election was held during the next House election. McConnell was the one who encouraged changing the rules three years ago.

Democratic Kentucky governor pledges health coverage for 100% of state's African Americans

Calling health care a "basic human right," Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear laid out the basic framework for his plan to provide health coverage to 100% of the state's Black residents. The basics are that state-subsidized "health insurance connectors" will serve as a conduit between the state's Black communities and health insurance coverage.
