The court majority wrote that the government cannot “subject long-term law-abiding residents of the United States…to the hardship of mandatory detention without due process.” It also found the current policy overturned decades of precedent for bond hearings in immigration cases...

11th Circuit Judges Robert Lagoa and Barbara Luck broke ethics rules to stop up to 1 million Floridians from voting in 2020.
A breach of judicial ethics may have prevented up to 1 million Floridians from voting in November. On July 1, a federal appeals court lifted an order that had blocked Florida from imposing a poll tax on people convicted of felonies. The U.S. Supreme Court then declined to step in. If two judges appointed by President Donald Trump had complied with the judicial Code of Conduct, Florida’s discriminatory and unworkable poll tax might well have remained blocked through Election Day. And Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee are now demanding that these judges explain their justification for flouting their ethical duties.

Grassley and McConnell screw Democrats, are still packing courts with Trump judges in recess - Daily Kos
When Senate Democrats negotiated that deal to allow 15 more Trump judicial nominees to be confirmed, before the Senate recessed for the midterms, they should have negotiated a complete recess. Because as it turns out, Mitch McConnell and Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley are moving ahead on some controversial circuit court nominations whether or not Democrats can be at the hearings. The nominees include positions on the 9th Circuit, a court that has reliably blocked Trump's worst efforts....

Trump Calls Press ‘Dishonest,’ Then Utters Falsehoods of His Own
President Trump took aim at reporters on Thursday for more than an hour at an impromptu White House news conference.
“The press has become so dishonest,” he said, and not talking about it would be “doing a tremendous disservice to the American people.” He added that the “level of dishonesty is out of control.”
In accusing the news media, though, Mr. Trump uttered several falsehoods of his own. Here is a list of some of the most important....
