Opinion | Kushner’s Gaza remarks are a dark signal for Trump’s second-term policy - The Washington Post

In a Feb. 15 interview at Harvard University, videos of which have recently emerged, Kushner said several striking things about the Israel-Gaza crisis. "Gaza's waterfront property could be very valuable," he said, lamenting that Palestinians had diverted resources away from economic development and toward weapons and tunnels. "It's a little bit of an unfortunate situation there, but from Israel's perspective, I would do my best to move the people out and then clean it up."…

Kushner Deal in Serbia Follows Earlier Interest by Trump - The New York Times

More than a decade ago, before running for president, Donald Trump expressed interest in developing the same site in Belgrade that his son-in-law now plans to invest $500 million in rebuilding...

Hunter Biden gives House Republicans the rebuttal they didn’t want - The Washington Post

Those deeply immersed in the lore of Joe Biden's putative corruption will find any number of the allegations dismissed in Hunter Biden's testimony, not that they will believe his (sworn) testimony if they were to read the transcript at all. They would also note two particular targets of Hunter Biden's ire: Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and Hunter Biden's former associate Tony Bobulinski.

Kushner served as a repeated point of comparison for Biden: Republicans were quizzing him on his father stopping by a dinner one evening when Kushner pulled in $2 billion after leaving the White House?

A legislator asked him whether he'd worked for foreign governments.

"I never worked for a country," he replied. "I am not Jared Kushner."…

Comer sounds alarm about presidential family members not named Kushner - The Washington Post

If Hunter Biden and his business associates made two deals with Chinese energy concerns totaling less than $10 million, that's less than 5 percent of what Kushner's firm got from one of the newly reported agreements. It's one half of 1 percent of the $2 billion a Saudi fund decided to invest with Kushner.

In its report, the Times noted that "Qatari officials feared they would face unfavorable treatment if they turned down Mr. Kushner's invitation to invest and Mr. Trump returned to power." Kushner's White House portfolio included a focus on the Middle East, you'll recall, but it's Hunter Biden's murky deals that spurred Comer to warn that foreign countries might "come in and buy off relatives of high-ranking government officials."

Fox News hit with election complaint after Biden ad given to Trump son-in-law

"… If you try to get around that disclosure law … by giving something that is the equivalent of money, that you would need to spend money on, or that could be considered something of value for a political campaign, you're either not supposed to do it or it's supposed to be disclosed. And it's pretty clear."…

The other way Rupert Murdoch tried to tip the scales for Trump - The Washington Post

"During Trump's campaign, Rupert provided Trump's son-in-law and senior advisor, Jared Kushner, with Fox confidential information about [Joe] Biden's ads, along with debate strategy," the filing reads. In a parenthetical, it explains some or all of that confidential information as "providing Kushner a preview of Biden's ads before they were public."

After helping MBS’s rise, Trump and Kushner benefit from Saudi funds - The Washington Post

As his administration ended, Trump's brand was troubled. His family's hotels, resorts and other properties had lost $120 million in revenue in 2020 thanks to the pandemic and his polarizing presidency. He faced multiple investigations into his business practices and actions seeking to overturn his 2020 defeat; then in December 2022, the Trump Organization was convicted of tax fraud.

Kushner, meanwhile, faced potential difficulties because of both his association with Trump and his own failings. Kushner's family company had already required a bailout in 2018 from a Canadian firm because of his decision to buy a $1.8 billion office building in New York. An ongoing congressional investigation is looking into whether the bailout was partially financed by Qatar's sovereign wealth fund. Now, despite having no experience running a private equity fund, Kushner was in search of billions of dollars for his new venture.

Kushner’s Saudi deal must be scrutinized to protect U.S. democracy - The Washington Post - Opinion

…The prospect of a dictator using his deep pockets to wield influence at the highest levels of the U.S. political system should be cause for deep concern and targeted action. Not all attacks on American democracy will take the shape of violent insurrections — the corruption of the Saudi-Kushner deal is an attack on democracy, too...

'We'll all be dead by June!' Jared Kushner screamed about mask shortage, according to new book | TheHill

"Nightmare Scenario" is said to detail other chaotic incidents, such as then-chief of staff Mark Meadows also yelling at Kadlec over the rollout of the antiviral treatment remdesivir and Trump reportedly asking if COVID-19 patients could be sent to Guantánamo Bay to contain the virus...

Kushner COVID-19 team prioritized PPE bids from Trump associates: NYT - Business Insider

When the US coronavirus outbreak began, there were concerns about healthcare workers getting the protective gear they needed. So the senior White House adviser Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Donald Trump, formed a group of volunteers to sort through hundreds of leads on personal protective equipment and funnel the most promising ones to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which is in charge of distributing supplies to states and medical workers.

But according to a new report by The New York Times, the volunteers were in fact prioritizing tips from close Trump associates, resulting in multiple botched deals.....

How Trump's Israel-Palestine Plan Will Change the Region | Time

Over the last two days, I received an exclusive early look at President Donald Trump’s proposed plan to resolve the Israel-Palestine conflict. The effort was led by the president’s son-in-law and senior advisor, Jared Kushner. The administration’s peace plan tears up the playbook of prior presidents who have tried and failed to make real progress on peace in the region. The Trump “ultimate deal” is unabashed power politics. It recognizes Israeli power on the ground and recent dramatic shifts in the region’s geopolitics. On top of it all, it’s a deal that carries domestic political upside for the president in the midst of an impeachment hearing.
