Justice Department demands Ann Arbor change trans student policy
Steve Norton, a trustee on the Ann Arbor school board, said the DOJ’s new demands go beyond their power under federal law.

Michigan voter ID, proof of citizenship amendment loses at state, U.S. Supreme Court
A proposed amendment to the Michigan Constitution that would require proof of citizenship to register to vote in the state has exhausted its options to get on the November ballot through the judicial system. Justices with the U.S. and Michigan supreme courts both decided against the measure Thursday.
The amendment would also require a voter to show photo ID either at the polls or within six days of an election have their ballot counted…

‘Michiganders for Money Out of Politics’ petition taken up in the House

Michigan set to get at least $171 million in proposed settlement with Meta
The settlement calls for Meta to:
Take addition steps to prevent kids under the age of 13 from using its apps.
Create a default “Night Access Mode” for teen accounts that disables push notifications from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and limits access to the app after midnight.
Limit teen accounts to a maximum of two hours on its apps per day, and institute “productive pause” notifications to alert users after 15 minutes of continuous scrolling, and after 60 and 90 minutes of total daily usage.
Disable "like" counts on teen posts..
