In Arizona, three prominent election deniers won Republican primaries for governor, secretary of state and attorney general. If they win in November, they’ll play key roles in overseeing elections and defending voting laws. Justice department allegedly investigating debunked 2020 Georgia election fraud claims

Davis's revelation marked the second time in recent months that election deniers had claimed the justice department was investigating unfounded claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election. At the heart of their claims is a 25 August letter from Ed Martin, who defended January 6 rioters and has since been appointed by Trump as an attorney at the DoJ. In the letter, Martin demanded "immediate access" to 148,000 ballots and ballot envelopes from the 2020 election that the state's election denial movement believes will prove their false claims of a stolen election that year...

The Untold Link Between Justice Alito and Trump's Election-Denying Efforts

Records from the January 6 committee and other sources show Martin helped float a radical theory: that state legislatures had "plenary," or absolute, authority over the selection of presidential electors, regardless of what their respective state laws or courts might say. This theory is often credited to Eastman. But records show Martin spread it to an influential state legislator, Mark Finchem of Arizona, who is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Arizona "fake electors" case and who repeatedly based his own actions on his "plenary" authority as a state legislator…

A far-right US youth group is ramping up its movement to back election deniers

Dubbed "chase the vote", the drive is being supplemented by another get-out-the-vote campaign that TP Action is starting with the Christian nationalist and televangelist Lance Wallnau.

Together with Wallnau and some other Maga allies like Moms for America, TP Action is planning a "courage tour" in the same three swing states to enlist pastors and their churches in the voter-mobilization drive, which will include booths in churches to register voters...

Opinion | Judges slap down election deniers and contemptuous MAGA Republicans - The Washington Post

"This was not a protest that got out of hand. It was a riot; in many respects a coordinated riot, as is clear from cases before me. … 'Protestors' would have simply shared their views on the election — as did thousands that day who did not approach the Capitol. But those who breached and occupied the Capitol building and grounds halted the counting of the electoral college votes required by the Twelfth Amendment.

The rioters interfered with a necessary step in the constitutional process, disrupted the lawful transfer of power, and thus jeopardized the American constitutional order. Although the rioters failed in their ultimate goal, their actions nonetheless resulted in the deaths of multiple people, injury to over 140 members of law enforcement, and lasting trauma for our entire nation. This was not patriotism; it was the antithesis of patriotism.

And the rioters achieved this result through force. ...

The First Amendment does not give anyone the right to enter a restricted area or to engage in riotous activity in the Capitol."

Key Michigan 2020 indictment was overshadowed by Trump indictment

First, DePerno and Rendon, both vocal 2020 "election deniers," are alleged to have illegally obtained a voting machine in a wildly ill-advised attempt to prove election fraud that, despite Trump and his allies' pronouncements, did not exist. A nation that holds secure elections cannot allow self-deputized vigilantes improperly seizing possession of voting machines under false pretenses...
