Life on Earth might have formed out of thin air and water | Popular Science

"This is essentially the chemistry behind the origin of life," Graham Cooks, an author of the study and professor of analytical chemistry at Purdue, said in a press release. "This is the first demonstration that primordial molecules, simple amino acids, spontaneously form peptides, the building blocks of life, in droplets of pure water. This is a dramatic discovery."

Researchers Find A New Way To Make Water From Thin Air

Researchers have come up with a new way to extract water from thin air.

Literally. This isn't the first technology that can turn water vapor in the atmosphere into liquid water that people can drink, but researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California, Berkeley, say their approach uses less power and works in drier environments....
