Four weeks after Las Vegas, gun violence has killed nearly 900 additional Americans

On October 1, 58 people were murdered and hundreds more injured by a mass shooter firing from a 32nd floor Las Vegas hotel room. This was immediately followed by loud vows from the governing party to not do a damn thing about it, the usual ceremonial tossing of thoughts and prayers around the landscape as the cheapest possible payment to the families of the dead, and with the nation hurriedly moving on, the latest "worst" mass shooting by a heavily armed gunman who woke up on one particular morning believing that America Now Has It Coming now being brushed aside in the national conversation as, after all, old news.....
