"In past videos I’ve talked about how Christmas has become a gigantic money sucking monster, and how most Christians don't know where a lot of the Christmas customs they observe today even came from, but I think it’s information that’s deserves a do-over, especially for any Christians who might stumble across this video. Despite what many Christians believe, many of today’s Christmas customs are nothing but modern incarnations of long forgotten pagan rituals. Most Christians today have no idea what they’re really celebrating. Even non-Christians get roped into celebrating Christmas just because it’s too big of a hassle not to, and because Christmas isn’t really about religion anymore, anyway. Today the Christmas spirit has become nothing but a culture of greedy corporations feeding people’s guilt to buy crappy presents for their kids and each other, while celebrating the birthday of Jesus comes in a distant second, mostly only being observed in churches. Christmas is fun when you’re a kid, but unlike Jesus, most people figure out that Santa Claus isn’t real by the time they grow up. Ask most people what Christmas means to them and they’ll probably say that Christmas is about good spirits, and sharing, and traditions, and wonderful music, and family, and sights and smells, and exchanging gifts, and so on. But very few of them know the actual origins and meanings of any of those traditions. So my question is, why can’t these things be done on an everyday basis - why does it have to happen only once a year? If people acted as nice as they think they’re acting at Christmas all year round, the world would be a much better place. So here’s an idea – instead of celebrating Christmas, how about we celebrate peace & love 365 days a year?"
