CFPB Director Russell Vought didn't respond to my letter, so I asked him about it in public.
This administration is adding medical debt BACK onto credit reports. A trip to the ER shouldn't bankrupt you or prevent you from getting a mortgage.
I fought for years to successfully remove medical debt from credit reports and I’ll keep fighting the administration on this.
