President Donald Trump's nominee for a federal judgeship in Texas invoked religious crackdowns by the Nazis in Germany and other totalitarian regimes to describe the treatment of Christians in the US during three interviews in 2013 and 2014. Jeff Mateer, who currently serves as the first assistant attorney general of Texas, is nominated for a lifetime appointment on the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.....
