New allegations of plagiarism emerged Thursday against Monica Crowley, the incoming official in President-elect Donald Trump's administration who has been under fire for nearly a week over passages in her published work that appear to have been lifted.

Building on a Monday report by Politico Magazine that identified more than a dozen instances of suspected plagiarism in Crowley's Ph.D. thesis, which she submitted to Columbia University in 2000, CNN's KFile on Thursday published an examination that turned up nearly 40 such instances.
