This Friday (September 30) is International Blasphemy Rights Day, which highlights the struggle of religious minorities and nonbelievers across the globe. Many countries maintain prohibitions on criticizing religion and punish offenders with fines, imprisonment, and even the death penalty. These religious prohibitions on free expression are known as “blasphemy laws.” On International Blasphemy Rights Day, we stand in solidarity with those cannot speak up without fear of violence or arrest. Join us by urging your member of Congress to call for the repeal of blasphemy laws around the world....
