The right to end it all

Chris Carlson, in his most recent column in the ISJ, attacked the legitimacy of laws in Canada, Oregon and Washington that permit physician-assisted suicide. He offered several arguments intended to discredit those laws. He also revealed, in a paragraph headed “Full Disclosure” that he chaired the campaign against the Washington initiative that resulted in the legalization of assisted suicide and that his father committed suicide. He did not mention that he is a devout Catholic.
