"You seem to have been the designated fall guy for this report," Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., told Attorney General William Barr in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday. Blumenthal told Barr he felt his credibility was undermined in the Justice Department, with Congress and with the American people with regard to his handling of the evidence in the Mueller report that President Donald Trump had obstructed justice. Blumenthal also grilled Barr on whether he had discussed the additional investigations that have sprung from the Mueller probe with anyone in the White House, and whether Barr would recuse himself.
