Missouri leads the U.S. in child marriage, as some 15-year-old girls are forced to marry older men

In 2018, the thought of marrying off teen girls to older men usually evokes thoughts of a bygone era where people married early, in part, because they only lived into their 30s and 40s. In a modern context, we usually conceptualize this as a phenomenon that happens in other countries around the world, particularly developing ones, but not something that happens in the United States. But, sadly, it does happen here.....
