In the Trump era, hate crimes rose in 2016 and are on track to rise again this year

A new report on hate and extremism confirms what we already knew: hate crimes are up in the United States, in part due to the current resident of the White House. This is the first time in more than 10 years that there have been consecutive yearly increases in hate crimes. And sadly, it doesn’t look as if this trend will stop any time soon.....
