A third high-level political adversary to President Trump was indicted in the span of less than a month. John Bolton, Trump’s former national security advisor, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Maryland. Also, a federal judge in San Francisco halted federal worker layoffs by the Trump Administration this week. It comes as another senate vote to fund the government fails. In Chicago, ICE agents clash with residents while the president’s crackdown on U.S. cities continues.

The Supreme Court signals it could weaken a part of the Voting Rights Act aimed at protecting minority voters.

Plus, explosive reporting from Politico exposes racist and homophobic texts from leaders of a republican group that is reverberating throughout the party.

The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is now in its second week, as both sides hand over hostages and return the bodies of those captured during the conflict. The agreement was tested as Israel opened fire on a group of people it claims were approaching a line of control in Gaza.

Elsewhere, President Trump indicated this week that he’s still open to selling U.S.-made Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. He’s set to meet with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy at the end of the week.

The United States continues to destroy boats off the coast of Venezuela as part of a supposed campaign against drug cartels.
