Despite the Trump administration's celebrations, other data suggests that U.S.-born workers are on less stable footing than their foreign-born counterparts this year.
While economists take issue with foreign- and native-born worker counts from the census survey, they say the unemployment rate, employment-population ratio and labor force participation rate provide a more accurate snapshot of the job market and how it has changed over time.
