What to know about the chikungunya virus amid the outbreak in China - The Washington Post

The virus does not spread from one person to another, nor is it transmitted by coughing or sneezing or through touch, the agency said. Spread, however, can occur through blood transfusion, handling infected blood or drawing blood from an infected person [including by mosquito bites].
