No, abortion doesn’t “have a smell.” And apparently this ludicrous clarification needs to be made, because Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention, a well-known antiabortion activist named Abby Johnson got behind a lectern and told a national audience that, “For me, abortion is real. I know what it sounds like; I know what abortion smells like. Did you know that abortion even had a smell?”
