George Floyd protests: Police, protesters clash on day of march, rally

What started as a peaceful protest against police brutality at Detroit Public Safety Headquarters on Friday afternoon turned into a series of violent clashes between police and protesters throughout downtown past midnight. A 21-year-old man from Eastpointe was also fatally shot by an unknown suspect in the area of Congress and Randolph, Detroit Police said.
