Michigan's paid sick leave policies are dangerous during coronavirus
With the first cases of the COVID-19 virus diagnosed in Michigan, it is important to realize that some 1.5 million Michigan workers won’t have the option to stay at home if they are sick — thanks to the actions of former Gov. Rick Snyder and Republican leaders in the closing months of 2018.
So, while quarantine, staying at home and don’t go to work will be key advice to halt the spread of this pandemic, that’s not really an option for one out of three Michigan workers.....
