The chairman of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) said in a recent interview that he would “actually be afraid” for Sen. Mitt Romney’s (R-Utah) “physical safety” if he were to attend the gathering later this month. Matt Schlapp, the chairman of the group, made the remark during an appearance on “Full Court Press With Greta Van Susteren” after being pressed about the group’s decision to disinvite the Utah senator from attending the event last month over his vote to approve additional witnesses in the Senate impeachment trial. ....
