Donald Trump would like to provide a 'fireside chat' for America to showcase his 'perfect call'

Donald Trump thinks his call to Ukrainian President Zelensky was “perfect.” So perfect, in fact, that he wants everyone in America to hear it. But there is no recording of the call—or at least, we’ve been told there is no recording of the call—so what to do? Trump has a solution: He wants to have a “fireside chat.” Except without the fireside or the chat part. In a Thursday interview, Trump suggested he he was going to sit down, and “read the transcript of the call, because people have to hear it.” Which is, without a doubt, a brilliant idea. He should absolutely read the not-an-actual-transcript. ....
