After eight years in an Ethiopian refugee camp, he resettled in Idaho in 2012, learning at an airport in Florida that instead of being sent to Texas, as originally planned, he was being moved to what was then a mysterious place. “People were saying ‘Tecle, you can say no, this is America, you have freedom’ because everyone was shocked and nobody had heard of this secret state [Idaho],” Gebremicheal said...
