Given that Republicans dumped 42,000 documents on Democrats last night, documents that couldn't even be loaded onto the computer system used for review until 6:45 AM today, Day One of the Kavanaugh hearing started off just as acrimoniously as you'd think. Democrats came out swinging against the Supreme Court nomination process, as Joan McCarter pointed out this morning. In addition to the not-unexpected moments of caustic misogyny, Republicans came out with, and repeated, five major lies throughout the hearing. ....
