Friday News Roundup – International (Joshua Johnson, 1A) 2018-05-18

The week began with cheers and clashes. While an American delegation (including two controversial pastors) were celebrating the opening of a U.S. embassy in Jerusalem, more than 50 Palestinians were killed.

At the United Nations, Ambassador Nikki Haley defended the embassy’s relocation and blamed the violence on Hamas, before walking out of the meeting as a Palestinian envoy spoke.

Kim Jong Un may walk away from a planned meeting with President Trump.

And an ebola outbreak has spread in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
