Former federal prosecutor and senior CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin has a new in-depth feature in the December 11th edition of The New Yorker examining the legal implications of former Donald Trump associate Mike Flynn’s guilty plea. Toobin reports that Jay Sekulow, President Donald Trump’s defense attorney, is unconcerned about the possibility of charges based on illegal foreign campaign contributions or aiding and abetting the hacking of the Democratic National Committee and John Podesta.
“I’m not concerned about these bizarre theories,” Sekulow told Toobin. “There is no basis for saying, under the law or the facts, that any of this behavior during the campaign was criminal.”
