1,500 economists to Trump: Immigrants are good for the U.S. economy

In a letter to President Trump and top Congressional leaders Wednesday, nearly 1,500 economists extolled the economic benefits immigrants bring to the U.S. and urged Congress to "modernize" the country's immigration system. "[I]mmigration is one of America's significant competitive advantages in the global economy," the letter said.
