Church Leaders Condemn Vice President Joe Biden, a Practicing Catholic, for Officiating Gay Wedding

The bishops wrote: "...When a prominent Catholic politician publicly and voluntarily officiates at a ceremony to solemnize the relationship of two people of the same-sex, confusion arises regarding Catholic teaching on marriage and the corresponding moral obligations of Catholics. What we see is a counter witness, instead of a faithful one founded in the truth..."

To the dodos in the USCoCB: How many times do we have to say it before it sinks in?
a) We are not a theocracy. Your beliefs and intolerance are irrelevant under our secular government and its god(s)-free Constitution.
b) Marriage is a civil, secular institution, not religious. You don't get a say in who can and can't be married. It's the 21st century and you no longer have the power to enforce your will on others.
c) You and yours did not invent the institution of marriage, nor do you own it.
d) When are you going to stop beating a dead horse and address the rampant, ongoing child sexual abuse and its coverup within your ranks?
